A stone branch church from the turn of the 16th century in Klępino, rebuilt after wartime damage in 1988-1990.
The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Klępino was built at the turn of the 16th century. It belongs to the parish of St Joseph in Stargard and lies in Stargard municipality.
It was built of erratic boulders on a rectangular plan, with a semicircular apse on the east side. In the west elevation there is a Gothic portal with three recessed orders, and the reveals of the windows and portal are made of brick. In the 18th century a timber-framed wooden bell tower was added to the west wall; it was destroyed in 1945. The heritage register gives the date more generally, as the 15th century.
During the Second World War the church was destroyed. It was rebuilt in 1988-1990 through the efforts of the parish priest and parishioners, to a design by Walenty Zaborowski. Mass has been celebrated in it again since 1992, and Bishop Zygmunt Kamiński consecrated the church on 12 September 1999.
From here it is just under four kilometres to the centre of Stargard, where the Collegiate Church of Our Lady Queen of the World stands.
