Filial church from the 18th century with preserved furnishings: a Baroque altar from around 1655 and a bell from 1756.
The Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Żytelkowo is a former Protestant church, Roman Catholic since 1946 and a filial church of the parish of St John Cantius in Dobrowo. The village lies in Białogard municipality, in a bend of the Liśnica River, about 8 km south-east of Białogard.
The Wikipedia entry on the village says that the present body of the church dates from the 18th century and that the von Kleist family held the patronage over it. Almost the whole set of furnishings has survived: a Baroque high altar from around 1655, a pulpit from the 19th century, organ galleries from the 19th century, a bell from 1756 and a Baroque font. The year 1569 can be read on the pulpit, and the stone stoup by the door dates from the Middle Ages. Some of the movable monuments were transferred to the museum in Słupsk. In 1643 the church was badly damaged during fighting with the Swedes.
