A landscape park in the Drawsko Lakeland with lakes, nature reserves, hiking trails, nature trails and canoe routes.
Drawsko Landscape Park covers a fragment of the Drawsko Lakeland with moraines, lakes and peat bogs. The park was established in 1979, lies in six municipalities, and is managed by the Complex of Landscape Parks of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship. The manager describes it as a lowland area with a mountain character.
The largest lake in the park is Lake Drawsko, which according to the manager is the second deepest in Poland and the starting point of the canoe route down the Drawa River. Czaplinek lies on the shore of Lake Drawsko. The park has seven nature reserves, and two more lie in its buffer zone. They include the Valley of the Five Lakes, called Połczyn Switzerland, Jezioro Czarnówek with the relict water lobelia, and the Przełom Rzeki Dębnicy, where the grey wagtail nests. A spa park lies by Połczyn-Zdrój. Birds visit Lake Prosino during migration, and the valley is described under the Dolina Pięciu Jezior nature reserve.
The manager lists four hiking trails, four nature trails (one runs by Lake Czarnówek), a network of cycle routes and the canoe routes of the Drawa and Piława rivers. Among historic sites it points to Drahim Castle in Stare Drawsko, the palace in Siemczyno and the Church of the Holy Trinity in Czaplinek, called by residents the little church. Accommodation is concentrated in the towns on the edge of the park, and there are also campsites.
