Dźwirzyno Seaport

Dźwirzyno
About Dźwirzyno Seaport

A small fishing and yachting port at the mouth of the canal from Lake Resko Przymorskie to the Baltic.

Dźwirzyno Seaport is a small fishing port on the Baltic in Kołobrzeg County, located on the mouth section of the Błotnica river, popularly called the Resko Canal. The canal links the sea with Lake Resko Przymorskie, and the port is administered by the Maritime Office in Słupsk through a harbour master's office.

What the port looks like

The port area covers 3 ha. The width between the breakwater heads is 19 m, and the harbour canal is 10 m wide. A steel road bridge 63.6 m long crosses the canal and is part of the county road from Kołobrzeg to Mrzeżyno. Fishing storehouses stand on the south-eastern part of the port, beyond the bridge. The port is surrounded by forests, and since 1997 it has had a marina for yachts.

For sailors

Vessels up to 12 m in length can enter the port, and the harbour master may, in justified cases, allow larger ones, up to 15 m. The depth in the port is about 1.2 m. The marina has 20 berths for visitors, and on the south-eastern side there is a slipway 68.5 m long.

Practical information

  • The port lies about 11 km west of Kołobrzeg port and about 7 km east of Mrzeżyno; Lake Resko Przymorskie is a few kilometres further on.
  • The bridge in Dźwirzyno stands on the canal itself.
  • A no-fishing zone applies at the mouth of the canal, and angling regulations apply around the port; the harbour master's office gives the details.
