Giżyn (German: Giesenbrügge) lies in Nowogródek Pomorski municipality. In the village cemetery stands the burial chapel of the von Borcke family from the first half of the 19th century, in which Heros von Borcke is buried, an officer of the Prussian cavalry and of the Confederate States Army. The palace from the 18th century was demolished, and a manor park with large lime trees remains.
About 200 m away stands the Catholic Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross from 1936.
