A Baroque half-timbered church from the late 17th century, formerly Protestant, with an altar of the Last Supper and patron's boxes.
The Church of Christ the King in Wielin is a Baroque half-timbered church from the late 17th century, formerly Protestant, today a filial church of the parish in Polanów. It is entered in the heritage register.
The Wikipedia entry gives construction in 1669, the heritage register dates the church to 1689, and other sources to 1698, so only the late 17th century is certain. At first it served Protestants, and after the Second World War it passed into Catholic hands and was consecrated on 1 October 1945. It is an example of half-timbered sacral architecture of this period in Central Pomerania.
Inside are a Baroque altar, a pulpit and patron's boxes. The altar from around 1700 has an elaborate, two-storey retable: in the central field a scene of the Last Supper, at the sides figures of the Virgin Mary and St John, and at the top Christ the King and Saints Peter and Paul. In 1983-1985 the altar, pulpit and boxes were conserved.
