A Baroque church from 1730 with a half-timbered turret and a Baroque altar, blessed for Catholics in 1963.
The Church of Our Lady of Częstochowa in Wierzchlas is a Baroque church from 1730, a filial church of the parish of the Transfiguration of the Lord in Mieszkowice. It stands in the village of Wierzchlas in Mieszkowice municipality.
The church is a hall building on the plan of an elongated rectangle, plastered on the outside, with a gable roof. The windows, closed with a segmental arch, have stained glass. On the west side a square half-timbered turret with a slender helm topped with a lantern is set into the roof, and on the south side a porch with a round-arched portal and a circular blind window above it has been added.
The interior is covered by a flat wooden ceiling, on the west wall there is a choir gallery on posts, and of the furnishings a Baroque altar with columns and an entablature has survived. The grounds around the church are enclosed by a wall of stone and brick.
After the Second World War the church was at first not used. It was blessed for Catholic worship on 14 April 1963.
