A branch church from the turn of the 16th century in Bobrowniki, with a wooden bell tower and figures from a late Gothic triptych.
The Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Bobrowniki dates from the turn of the 16th century. It is a branch church of the parish of Our Lady of Sorrows in Chociwel, in Chociwel municipality.
The walls were built of fieldstone and brick, on a rectangular plan, without a distinct chancel. The east gable was made of brick. The five semicircular windows of the nave were rebuilt in the 19th century. By the west elevation stands a wooden bell tower from the turn of the 19th century, with a sheet-metal spire and two bells from 1926.
Inside, the figures from a late Gothic altar triptych of about 1500 stand out: the Madonna and Child, the twelve apostles and herms, set into a later altar. A font from 1695 and 19th-century wooden pews have also survived, and above the entrance runs a gallery with an organ case. The church was consecrated as a Catholic one on 17 August 1947.
Nearby stands the Church of St John the Evangelist in Dzwonowo.
