Church from the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries, formerly Protestant, with a wooden tower, an altar from 1684 and a small Baroque pulpit; a filial church of the parish in Rymań.
The Church of Our Lady of Candlemas (Purification of the Blessed Virgin Mary) in Dębica was built at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries as a Protestant church. The heritage register describes the construction as Fachwerk, and the Wikipedia entry on the village as wooden, with a wooden tower topped by a sheet-metal spire. Today it is a filial church of the parish in Rymań.
Inside are an altar from 1684 and a Baroque pulpit from the 18th century.
According to Prof. Ślaski, Dębica first appears in the sources in 1282; according to M. Vollack, the oldest document is an act of the Bishop of Kamień from 1321, which mentions a parish priest. The village lay on an important road. A trip can be extended to the nearby Lake Kamienica (4.5 km).
