A stone branch church from the turn of the 15th century in Bartkowo, with an altar with angels and a wooden gallery.
The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Bartkowo was built at the turn of the 15th century. It is a branch church of the parish of the Holy Trinity in Chwarstnica, in Gryfino municipality. The heritage register gives the end of the 15th century.
An oriented hall church on the plan of an elongated rectangle, without a distinct chancel. The walls were built of erratic boulders bonded with mortar containing brick fragments. In the west wall a trace of a bricked-up portal can be seen, and the entrances in use today lead through the side walls. In the 19th century the windows were rebuilt; they have stepped pointed-arch surrounds and wooden joinery with tracery.
Under a flat wooden ceiling stands an altar with columns topped with figurines of angels, with a painting of the Assumption. In the west part of the nave is a wooden gallery with a decorated balustrade. A bell from 1753 hangs in a free-standing bell tower, and the church grounds are surrounded by a wall of stone and brick. A half-timbered tower added in the 19th century was pulled down in the 1970s. Catholics consecrated the church on 22 April 1946.
