Orthodox Church of the Protection of the Mother of God in Szczecin

The Church of the Protection of the Mother of God at Adama Mickiewicza 43 in Szczecin is a Greek Catholic church. It is housed in a building from the early 1920s that belonged to the complex of the former Bethanien care institution.

The building and the parish

The building was created as part of the care institution and was later converted into a church. A general renovation was carried out in 1995-1997. Inside stands a modern iconostasis. A Greek Catholic parish dedicated to the Mother of God has existed in Szczecin since 1957 and belongs to the Wrocław-Koszalin Eparchy.
