A sandstone obelisk from 1999 in honour of a scout commander, in a small square on Wojska Polskiego Avenue.
The Telesfor Badetko Monument stands in the square named after him in Szczecin, at the junction of Wojska Polskiego Avenue and Bohdan Zaleski Street. It commemorates a scouting activist whom Szczecin remembered as a commander and a friend.
The monument's author is Janina Jeleńska-Papp. The monument takes the form of a sandstone obelisk measuring 2.5 x 0.6 x 0.5 metres, unveiled on 9 May 1999. On the front face, in a triangular recess, is a bust of Telesfor Badetko seen in left profile, in a scout cap and a groundsheet cape. Below are a scout fleur-de-lis and two inscriptions: “DH Telesfor Badetko 1920-1992” and the words “Mówiłeś druhu komendancie, że zaufanie do nas masz...” (“You said, commander, that you trust us...”).
The side faces bear inscriptions of the donors: the Szczecin City Board, School Complex No. 4, family and friends, and the year 1998. The monument was set on a base of granite setts in two colours, laid in the shape of a scout cross.
