A peat bog reserve in Malechowo municipality with boardwalks, viewing platforms and educational boards.
Sieciemińskie Rosiczki is a peat bog reserve in the south-western part of Malechowo municipality, in Sławno County. It covers about 12 hectares and was established in September 2009. It protects a transition mire with small pools, on which grow all four insectivorous species of sundew occurring naturally in Poland.
In the reserve the round-leaved, great, intermediate and oval sundews have been recorded. Other protected plants found here include mud sedge, marsh Labrador tea, Rannoch-rush, western bladderwort and northern white water-lily. The peat bog with its small pools is under strict protection, and the forest around it under active protection. The reserve lies on State Treasury land managed by the Karnieszewice Forest District.
For visitors, boardwalks with viewing platforms and educational boards have been prepared. They make it possible to see the peat bog without leaving the marked route, which matters in such a sensitive habitat. Not far away lies the area's second reserve, Jodły Karnieszewickie.
