The play “Dziewczyny do wzięcia”, directed by Dariusz Lewandowski, was inspired by a screenplay by Janusz Kondratiuk. It takes audiences back to the 1970s, straight to a snow-covered capital. The heroines' winter adventure, full of unexpected situations, dialogue, and musical hits the whole country once hummed, becomes a pretext for portraying the Polish woman of the PRL era. The creators recall a time when grey covered the colours of life and the prose of everyday life was not conducive to romantic adventures, yet everyone wanted “for things to be different.” The heroines set out for a walk through frosty, jazzy Warsaw, and audiences will find out whether “the girls are up for grabs” and whether the long-awaited visit to the capital turns out to be as sweet as Krem Sułtański. Practical information: cigarettes are used in the performance. The show addresses difficult and sensitive themes, including sexual violence and rape, which may be emotionally distressing. The organizers ask that you take this into account before deciding to attend.
