“Everest: The Other Side” is a National Geographic Documentary Films production, directed and produced by Oscar®-winning filmmakers Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin. It follows one of the most dangerous high-altitude expeditions.
Mountaineers and skiers Jim Morrison and Hilaree Nelson, united by love and a shared dream, aim to climb the north face of Mount Everest and ski down from the summit. Thousands have climbed Everest from Nepal via the southeast ridge, but only a few have approached from the north, and no one has ever skied down that route.
Producers: Shannon Dill, Anna Barnes, Bob Eisenhardt and Janet Yang. Executive producers are Carolyn Bernstein, Tim Horsburgh, Nina Fialkow, David Fialkow, Andrew Reiner, Elizabeth Reiner, Moudhy Al-Rashid, Sam Frohman, Kenneth A. Howery, Jason Bowden, Will Griffith and BeUna Kadoorie.
