The film “The Mystic” tells the story of Alicja Lenczewska. For many years she lived a dynamic life as a loyal member of the Communist Party and a respected teacher, demanding and completely devoted to her work. She liked to travel abroad, and her future seemed long settled.
One meeting changed her. Despite the doubts of people around her and her own fears, Alicja begins a profound spiritual life. Her mystical notes, sincere, hopeful and wise, eventually reach thousands of people searching for answers about love, suffering, faith and the meaning of life.
