Kino Mewa in Złocieniec invites you on 15 November 2026, at 6:00 PM, to a concert by the band Yanistan, devoted to the songs of Leonard Cohen. The musicians perform his greatest hits in arrangements featuring guitar, piano and backing vocals. The programme includes Polish versions of “Alleluja”, “Dance Me to the End of Love”, “In my secret life” and “I’m Your Man”, and they are the only ones in the country who also perform “The Future” in Polish. Between songs, they share anecdotes and little-known facts about the author.
The band is made up of singer-songwriters from Wrocław. Janusz Kasprowicz leads the group Projekt Volodia, has released eight albums and has collaborated with Mirosław Baka and Stanisław Górka. He is active in the cultural life of the city as the founder and director of the festivals “Wołodia pod Szczelińcem”, “Pieśniarze Niepokorni” and “Lviv Days in Wrocław”, and as artistic director of “Night of the Bards” within the Festival of Three Cultures in Włodawa.
Stanisław Marinczenko plays guitars, piano, accordion, mandolin and harp. He is joined by Bogdan Bińczak, a musician from the traditional jazz scene, who is responsible for percussion, melodic instruments and backing and multi-part vocals.
