A modernist church of clinker brick from 1932-1933, built for Catholic settlers from Westphalia.
The Church of Christ the King in Jesionowo is a modernist parish church from 1932-1933, entered in the heritage register in 2022. It lies in Przelewice municipality, in Pyrzyce County.
It was built for a community of Catholic settlers from Westphalia who arrived in Jesionowo in 1928. The designer was Josef Bachem of Berlin. The foundation stone was laid on 24 July 1932, the church was blessed on 30 October 1932, and it was consecrated on 15 May 1933 by the Bishop of Berlin Christian Schreiber. The parish was established in 1936.
The clinker brick building stands on a rectangular plan and has a gabled roof. The triangular gable has a rose window, and the entrance leads through a three-part porch. Inside, the ceiling structure with its beams has been partly exposed, and on the west wall stands a gallery with an organ case. The pre-war pews and stained glass have survived.
In the municipality there is also the Dendrological Garden in Przelewice, about 7 km from the church.
