A granite hall church from the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries in Stary Kostrzynek, burnt down in 1945 and rebuilt in 1989-1990.
The Church of Divine Mercy in Stary Kostrzynek, in Cedynia municipality, was built at the turn of the 15th and 16th centuries. It is a filial church of the parish in Siekierki. It was built of regularly dressed granite blocks as a hall church with a straight-ended chancel, a gabled roof and pointed-arch windows.
By the front wall a remnant of the former tower has survived, now serving as a sacristy. The interior has a wooden beam ceiling, and above the entrance is a wooden music gallery.
In 1945 the church burnt down during the fighting. It was rebuilt in 1989-1990, and Bishop Jan Gałecki consecrated it on 22 June 1991. Near Stary Kostrzynek lies the Wrzosowiska Cedyńskie nature reserve.
