Brick Neo-Gothic church from 1860-1870 founded by the von Rhoeden family, with a crypt and 19th-century furnishings.
The Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Wicewo is a Neo-Gothic church from 1860-1870, formerly Protestant and now a Roman Catholic filial church of the parish of Our Lady of Częstochowa in Byszyno. It is built of brick and was founded by the von Rhoeden family. The heritage register protects it. Wicewo lies in Tychowo municipality, in Białogard County.
The church has a distinct chancel with a semicircular end and a brick tower on the west side, covered with tiles. The windows have pointed arches, and in the chancel they are decorated with stained glass. The ceiling is vaulted, and the gabled roof is covered with tiles. Above the side entrance is the coat of arms of the von Rhoeden family, the founders of the church.
The Neo-Gothic furnishings of the 19th century have survived in full. The organ gallery, without an organ, is supported on two wooden posts. Beneath the church is a vaulted crypt with its own entrance, supported on two columns and lit by four windows with semicircular heads.
Wicewo was a former knightly estate and an old fief of the von Kleist family, mentioned in 1623. From 1804 it belonged to von Igersleben, president of the Stettin War and Domains Chamber, and the last owner to acquire it was Oskar von Rhoeden. It was one of the three largest estates in the Białogard district. The register also lists a manor park from the second half of the 19th century, covering about 8 ha, with ponds and an avenue of beech and spruce, as well as a 19th-century cemetery.
About 3.9 km away stands the half-timbered church in Tychówko, belonging to the same parish.
About 7 km from the village is the Cold War Museum in Podborsko.
