Half-timbered filial church from 1739 founded by the von Kleist family, with a wooden bell tower and a Baroque altar.
The Church of St Joseph in Tychówko is a half-timbered church from 1739, founded by the von Kleist family. The heritage register lists it as a Protestant church, now a Roman Catholic filial church, built in Fachwerk, and dates it to the 18th century. Tychówko lies in Połczyn-Zdrój municipality, in Świdwin County.
According to the Wikipedia entry on the village, inside the church is a Baroque altar, and the church belongs to the parish of Our Lady of Częstochowa in Byszyno. The same entry describes the church as disused. Photographs on zabytek.pl also show a wooden bell tower next to the church and an interior with the ceiling of the main nave.
Tychówko was originally a fief of the von Bonin family, and in 1685 it was sold to Peter von Kleist of Wicewo. The Kleist family remained the owners until the 19th century. The Bukowa stream flows by the north-western part of the settlement, and from the north and west the Parsęta River Basin habitat protection area adjoins it.
In the area, about 4 km away, stands the brick Neo-Gothic church in Wicewo, belonging to the same parish in Byszyno.
