Gothic branch church in Binowo from the end of the 14th century, rebuilt from ruin in 1979-1982, with a cemetery enclosed by a stone wall.
The Church of St Maximilian Maria Kolbe in Binowo stands on a small rise in the centre of the village in Stare Czarnowo municipality. It dates from the end of the 14th century, and the heritage register dates it to the 15th century. It is a branch of the parish of Saints Peter and Paul the Apostles in Szczecin-Podjuchy, and the building is managed by the Christ Fathers (Chrystusowcy).
It was built of stone and brick on a quadrangular plan, and on the west side it is closed by a four-sided tower with a gable roof. In the north wall a brick, pointed Gothic portal has survived, in the east wall a small pointed window, and the gable is decorated with blind arches. The interior is covered by a modern, broken wooden ceiling, and a sacrarium has survived in the chancel. After 1945 the church fell into ruin, was rebuilt in 1979-1982 and was blessed on 7 November 1982.
The medieval altarpiece from Binowo, made around 1510 in a West Pomeranian workshop with influences of Lübeck art, went in 1901 to the National Museum in Szczecin. Figural scenes from the lives of Mary and St Anne are shown by the permanent exhibition "Mystery of Light. Medieval Art in Pomerania". Adjoining the church is a cemetery from the first half of the 19th century, partly enclosed by a stone wall.
