A lake in the southern part of the Beech Forest with a beach, holiday centres and trails from Binowo.
Lake Binowskie lies in the south-western part of the Beech Forest, west of the village of Binowo in Stare Czarnowo municipality. It is an endorheic lake (without an outflow) with an area of 52.4 ha (measurements also give 59 and 68 ha).
The western shores are dry and wooded, while the north-eastern ones are partly marshy, overgrown with reed and rushes. The water used to be very clean and rare plants grew in it, including flexible quillwort and one-flowered shoreweed, which is why a nature reserve was planned here. Stoneworts, large algae attached to the bottom, still form extensive meadows.
On the western shore there is a beach and holiday centres. The lake is also a place for angling: many species of lake fish, including eel, used to live here. Hiking trails run around the lake towards Szczecin, Gryfino and Chlebowo, crossing at Binowo. By the trail to Chlebowo stands the ruin of St Hubert's Church.
