A Gothic church of 1490 with a half-timbered tower, a chapel with a crypt of the von Wedel family and a pulpit of 1830.
The Church of St Peter and St Paul the Apostles in Bród, a village in Chociwel municipality in Stargard County, is a Gothic church of 1490 (heritage register) built of brick and fieldstone. It was rebuilt in the 19th century. Today it is a filial church of the parish in Chociwel.
The church stands on a rectangular plan, and to the east it ends in a five-sided apse with a sacristy on the south. To the west adjoins a four-sided half-timbered tower, topped with a wooden drum with a tall spire; two bells hang in it, from 1721 and 1855. By the north wall of the nave a chapel was added with its own entrance up wooden steps, with a former patron’s gallery and the crypt of the former owners of the village. Members of the Wedel family were buried in it, among them Melchior Magnus von Wedel.
Inside, under the beamed ceiling, a wooden pulpit of 1830 and 19th-century pews have survived; on the west wall there is a choir gallery with an organ case. It was blessed as a Catholic church on 29 June 1947.
