Late Gothic church in Pęzino founded in the mid-16th century by Maćko III of the Borek family, with a family crypt under the nave.
The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Pęzino, late Gothic, was built in the mid-16th century at the foundation of the then owner of the village, Maćko III of the Borek family, who died in 1566. The walls of erratic boulders stand on a rectangular plan, and the chancel is closed by a straight wall, decorated with blind arches at the gable.
In the east wall are two windows with stained glass of 1893, showing the Resurrection and the Nativity of Jesus. The wooden tower burned down after a lightning strike in 1902. In 1906 a stone-and-brick one was built, to a design by the architect Deneke of Stargard.
Beneath the church are vaults in which the owners of Pęzino from the Borek, Wituck, Hirschfeld and Puttkamer families were buried. Inside, the gallery above the entrance has sixteen paintings of saints, and in the chancel stands an 18th-century baroque altar with the coats of arms of the founders. Four epitaphs, four commemorative plaques and two gravestones have survived.
In Pęzino there is also the castle in Pęzino.
