A Gothic branch church from the mid-15th century in Trzebieszewo, with a side patron's chapel from 1690 and a timber-framed tower under a slate spire.
The Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary stands on the western edge of Trzebieszewo in Kamień Pomorski municipality and is a branch church. The heritage register dates it to the mid-15th century, while regional sources give the year 1446. The churchyard is surrounded by a low stone wall with gates, and the surroundings are overgrown with old trees serving as a cemetery. On the west side stands a Classicist tomb.
Originally it was a hall church, oriented, without a west tower, with a chancel closed on several sides and buttressed. The walls were built entirely of brick on a stone foundation. In the 15th century two side chapels were added, and in the southern one a patron's box was arranged in 1690. The tower has a square plan and two storeys. The base of stone and brick has thick walls, and above it rises a boarded bell tower of timber-framed construction, narrowing towards the top. It is crowned by a pyramidal spire covered with slate, ending in a ball and a spire tip. The tower collapsed in 1596 and was rebuilt, and its oak boards have been replaced many times.
In 1643 the church was plundered by imperial troops, and in 1650 the interiors were rebuilt and the ceiling painted. The organ from 1854 was made by the master Frohreich of Kamień. In 1897, after the last service, a year-long renovation began. Two stained-glass windows from 1942 show the scene at Emmaus and the Presentation of Jesus in the Temple. The church passed into the care of the Roman Catholic Church on 12 October 1945.
It is about five kilometres from here to Kamień Pomorski, where the Cathedral of St John the Baptist stands (a co-cathedral). Closer to the village lies the Museum of Stones.
