A Gothic fieldstone church from the 15th century, with a Baroque pulpit, a Renaissance sandstone tombstone and Gothic figures of the Madonna and St John the Baptist.
The Church of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Łęczyca is a Gothic fieldstone building from the 15th century. It is a filial church of the parish of Divine Mercy in Parlino, in Stara Dąbrowa municipality.
The church is oriented and single-nave, with a gable roof of ceramic tiles. In the east wall there is a pointed-arch window, and the gable is decorated with pointed blind arcades. In the south wall there is a portal closed with a full arch, above which the remains of a sundial can be seen. On the west side a square tower of stone-and-timber construction was added, with a helm covered with galvanised sheet metal. On its ground floor there is a pointed-arch stepped portal, and a bell from 1923 with a diameter of 150 cm hangs in the tower. The church grounds are surrounded by a stone wall with gates.
The interior is covered by a flat wooden ceiling. Above the entrance there is an organ gallery, today without an instrument. In the church stands a Baroque pulpit without a canopy, while the original altar has not survived. In the chancel wall a niche of a former sacrarium can be seen. A Renaissance sandstone tombstone of Bernet von Midelnitz and his wife Katharina von Schöning and Gothic figures of the Madonna and St John the Baptist have survived.
The church was consecrated as a Catholic church in 1947. The heritage register dates it to the 15th century, as does Wikipedia.
