About Church of St Stanislaus the Bishop and Martyr in Storkówko

A 19th-century Neo-Gothic fieldstone church with a wooden tower and an organ gallery from the early 20th century.

The Church of St Stanislaus the Bishop and Martyr in Storkówko was built in the 19th century of fieldstone. It belongs to the parish of St Michael the Archangel in Poczernin, in Stara Dąbrowa municipality.

Stone nave with a wooden tower

The church stands on a rectangular plan. The west elevation has a portal with two stepped orders closed with a segmental arch, and above it a stepped oculus. The side walls of the nave have round-arch windows, grouped in threes. A wooden tower with a sheet-metal pyramidal spire is set over the western part of the body.

Interior

The ceiling is flat. Of the furnishings, the choir gallery with an organ case and the pews have survived, both from the early 20th century. The church was consecrated as a Catholic church in 1946.
