A timber-framed church of 1839 in Stara Rudnica, with a tower set into the body and a large wooden gallery with an organ case.
The Church of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Stara Rudnica, in Cedynia municipality, was built in 1839. It is a filial church of the parish in Siekierki. Before 1945 it was one of two churches in the village, but the older one was pulled down after the Second World War.
The church has a single nave and is built in timber-frame construction on a stone foundation, on a rectangular plan. The windows have semicircular arches and the roof is gabled. On the west side the tower is set into the body, wooden in its upper part, with a pinnacle bearing a cross.
Above the entrance, on pillars, stands a large wooden gallery with an organ case, and its side arms reach the wall of the chancel. The walls and pews are white, the gallery and pillars dark. After the war the church was consecrated in 1949. Nearby lies the Wrzosowiska Cedyńskie nature reserve.
