Wooden branch church of 1740 in Strzaliny, with a late Baroque high altar of the late 18th century.
The Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Strzaliny is a wooden branch church built in 1740. It stands in the village of Strzaliny in Tuczno municipality, in Wałcz County.
The building is of log construction and is a single-room hall, with no separate chancel, closed on two sides. A sacristy was added at the side of the nave. The interior is plastered, and a flat beamed ceiling is supported by four posts. The music gallery rests on a pair of posts, and its parapet is plain. A cast-iron crucifix of the late 19th century hangs on the rood beam, and the late Baroque high altar dates from the late 18th century. A copper chandelier of 1861 hangs in the nave.
The church was restored in the 1970s, and in 2006 the boarding and roof covering were replaced. The bell tower beside it is modern and metal, and the church grounds are surrounded by a stone wall. Less than a kilometre away lies the Strzaliny near Tuczno Nature Reserve, and in Tuczno, about four kilometres further on, stands the castle.
