A fishing harbour on the beach in Unieście, where cutters stand and you can buy freshly caught fish.
The fishing harbour in Unieście lies by the beach on the spit that divides the Baltic Sea from Lake Jamno, in Mielno municipality. Fishing boats stand here directly on the beach, so you can watch the fishermen at work, see the cutters setting out to sea and buy freshly caught fish.
The beach in Unieście is fairly wide, clean and sandy, and in summer a guarded bathing area about 100 metres long is marked out on it. Not far from here runs the Jamno Channel (Jamieński Nurt), a short canal connecting the lake with the sea, with a bridge between Unieście and Łazy. Over the beach in Unieście also runs the sightseeing flight route of WodnoSamolotem.pl, and from the harbour to Lake Jamno it is about 4.5 km.
