Lake in Biały Bór with a town beach, a jetty and a walking and cycling path around it.
Łobez, also known as Lake Łebskie (German: Labes See), is a channel lake within the town of Biały Bór in Szczecinek County. It lies in the Gwda Valley, mostly surrounded by forest, in the Okolice Żydowo-Biały Bór protected landscape area.
A summer inland bathing area has been designated on the lake, and by the shore there is a public town beach and a town jetty. A walking and cycling path 3.4 km long has been laid out around it. On the lake, the use of craft with combustion engines is prohibited from 17:00 to 11:00 the next day, and jet skis are prohibited around the clock.
The area is about 45.5 ha, the average depth 5.6 m and the greatest 17 m. The bottom is sandy and the shoreline is poorly indented. The lake is a through-flow one: from the north the Biała River flows into it from Lake Cieszęcino, and in the south it flows out to Lake Białoborskie.
To the north of the lake lies the Walkmile tract, a remnant of a water mill. In Teutonic times the lake, although it lay within the boundaries of the settlement, remained the property of the Order.
