Lake Węgorzyno

Lake Węgorzyno lies in the Ińsko Lakeland, within the boundaries of the town of Węgorzyno in Łobez County. The surface area of the water ranges from 59.4 to 72.8 ha, depending on the measurement, and the volume is 3040.6 thousand m³. The shores are marshy, and the surroundings vary in terrain.

Bathing site and resort

On the northern side there are a bathing site, a holiday centre and a campsite. The lake is dominated by roach, bream and zander, and besides these live pike, perch, eel, bleak, tench, Prussian carp and rudd. The use of craft with combustion engines is banned on the waters. Until 1955 the German name Wangeriner See was in use, later officially changed to Jezioro Węgorskie.
