The Marshal Józef Piłsudski Monument stands in Szczecin on Szarych Szeregów Square, formerly Sprzymierzonych Square, between Wojska Polskiego Avenue and Wielkopolska Street. It is a bronze bust on a tall plinth of red granite, unveiled on 19 March 2000.
The designer and maker of the monument is Bohdan Ronin-Walknowski. The cast was made at the “Gryfia” Szczecin Ship Repair Yard, and the surroundings of the monument were made by the Urban Engineering Department of the Szczecin City Hall. The bronze bust is 96 cm high, the granite plinth 2.2 m. On the front is the inscription “Józef Piłsudski 1867 - 1935”.
The square lies in the city centre, close to the Mieczysław Karłowicz Philharmonic, and the Port Gate and the Royal Gate can be reached on foot.
