Orthodox church on Kujawska Street in a former Protestant cemetery chapel, with an iconostasis from a demolished church in the Lublin region.
The Church of the Holy Trinity in Wałcz is an Orthodox parish church on Kujawska Street, in a former Protestant cemetery chapel of the 19th century. It belongs to the Koszalin deanery of the Diocese of Wrocław-Szczecin of the Polish Autocephalous Orthodox Church. The church and the cemetery are entered in the heritage register.
The brick building was built in the second half of the 19th century as a chapel in a Protestant cemetery. In 1947 it passed into the ownership of the Orthodox parish. Inside there is an iconostasis from a demolished church in the Lublin region, and the church received its icons in 1947 from the Warsaw Metropolis.
In 1986 the windows were replaced and secured with bars. In 1994-1995 the frescoes were renovated and wood panelling was installed. The property is fenced. In Wałcz there is also a second church, a Greek Catholic one, with a history of its own: the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.
