About Rekowo Trail

Red trail from Załom through Wielgowo and Jezierzyce to Rekowo, along the Płonia valley.

The Rekowo Trail is a red walking trail of a suburban character, on the south-eastern outskirts of Szczecin, partly in the municipalities of Goleniów and Kobylanka. It is 16.7 km long and leads along the southern edge of Goleniów Forest, along the Płonia valley.

Route

The start is at the Szczecin Załom railway station, then come the cemetery in Wielgowo (4.3 km), the Szczecin Zdunowo halt (6.6 km) and the cemetery in Jezierzyce (12.7 km), with the end in Rekowo. Along the route are natural monuments and the “Jezierzyce” nature and landscape complex (108 ha), traces of the Cistercians of Kołbacz, souvenirs of the Second World War, and in Rekowo a round-village layout (okolnica).

In the area lies Wielecki Staw (about 5 km from the trail).
