Don Vasyl and His Band – 55th Anniversary

On May 8, 2027, starting at 6:00 PM, the Wałeckie Centrum Kultury in Wałcz will host a nostalgic anniversary concert, “Od Czardasza do Przeboju,” marking 55 years of Don Vasyl. He will perform with his Family Band and dancers in sequined and lace gowns. From his biggest hits, the audience will hear “Jedno jest niebo dla wszystkich,” “Tańcz ze mną moje życie,” and “Ja już wygrałem,” along with newer songs from his latest album. The violin, accordion, and guitar parts will be played by the artist's grandchildren. They will perform Romani folk party songs, including “Ore, Ore,” “Zagraj mi piękny cyganie,” “My cyganie,” and “Znałem cyganeczkę Zosię.” The group's history dates back to 1987, when the Don Vasyl i Roma Artistic Ensemble was formed. The name “Roma” came from musicians of a legendary group that performed around the world, including at UN headquarters in New York and the Olympia in Paris. Later, Don Vasyl discovered Romani stars such as Dziani, Wasyl Junior, Elza, Patrycja, Carmen, and Tobi, and the group was renamed Don Vasyl and the Romani Stars. The concert lasts 90 minutes.
