The film “The Time That Never Came” is set in a world where aging has become the greatest taboo. Sara and Oskar planned to grow old together, but Oskar, like most people, underwent antigeriatric treatment, which grants youth and a place in the new society. Sara refused and was sent to a closed isolation facility.
Years later, Sara's escape attempt brings the two characters back together. Their appearances set them apart, but what unites them is the lack of answers to questions they have pushed aside for years. The film asks whether feelings can survive time and irreversible decisions, and whether it is possible to live truly in a world that denies the right to pass away.
