A brick and granite Bismarck tower from 1911, 22 metres high, on a hill by the Town Park in Świdwin; closed to visitors.
The Bismarck Tower in Świdwin stands on a hill on the edge of the Town Park. It is 22 metres high, built of brick and granite, and was completed in 1911. It is currently not open to visitors.
The tower was built on the initiative of the local Beautification Society (Związek Upiększania). It was designed and built by the master mason Franz Brewing. The foundation stone was laid on 1 April 1911, and the official opening took place on 17 September of the same year. The structure stands on a square plinth with sides of 6.62 m, with four pairs of walled-up doors. Once the doors were opened, a spiral staircase led to a spacious viewing platform with a metal observation basket. For many years, ceremonies marking Chancellor Bismarck's birthday were held at the tower on 1 April.
