A late Baroque manor house from the mid-18th century in Golenice, part of a complex with a church, a farm and a park.
Golenice Manor House, in a village in Myślibórz municipality, is a late Baroque building from the 18th century. The zabytek.pl entry counts it among the relatively rare manor houses of this type in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship and links it with residences that many researchers describe as built in the “French type”, characteristic of the Mark of Brandenburg.
The manor house stands in the centre of the village, closing off the oldest, rectangular farm courtyard, and to the north-west and west of it extends a park. The building is single-storey, with a cellar, an attic and a mansard roof with dormers. Together with the church from 1759 and the half-timbered farm buildings it forms a residential complex of uniform style, which came into being after the von Rosey family bought the estate in 1740.
In 1945 the manor house burned down, and after reconstruction from 1955 it housed an agricultural school with a boarding house. Today it serves as the seat of a company's management board.
