The ruin of a brick manor house from the 18th century in Wardyń near Choszczno, in a complex with a naturalistic park and a branch church from 1982-1986.
Wardyń Manor House is the ruin of a brick manor house in a manor complex from the 18th and 19th centuries, about 5 km east of Choszczno. The complex is entered in the heritage register, and around the manor house extends a park of a naturalistic character.
According to Piotr Skurzyński's guide, the manor house dates from the 16th to 19th century and has a tall hipped roof. The ground in front of the building is wooded and planted with a hedge. The heritage register dates the manor house to the 18th century and gives brick as the material. The site is a ruin, so it is viewed only from outside.
The tree stand of the park includes pedunculate oak, beech, red oak, wych elm, maple, horse chestnut, sycamore, ash and larch. Within the park stands the branch church of St Maximilian Maria Kolbe, built in 1982-1986 of fieldstone to a design by Jerzy Hermanowicz.
The first record of Wardyń dates from 1337. For about 300 years the village belonged to the Beneckendorf family, and in 1912 the estate was bought by Otto Steiger.
