A Jewish cemetery from the early 17th century, with about ten surviving sandstone gravestones.
The Jewish cemetery in Człopa lies on Poznańska Street. It was established at the beginning of the 17th century and covers about 0.7 ha. About ten sandstone gravestones have survived to this day, the oldest of them dating from 1861.
The inscriptions on the surviving gravestones are in German and Hebrew. The cemetery is entered in the heritage register, and the zabytek.pl website dates it to the 17th century. The first entry in the register dates from 1992, and the second, supplementary one from 2010. The surviving gravestones are made of sandstone. The heritage register and the Wikipedia entry agree in giving the 17th century as the time the cemetery was founded.
