Bronze sculpture of 2016, a gift from a district of Budapest in thanks for help in 1956.
The Monument to the Hungarian Boy stands in Kasprowicz Park in Szczecin. The bronze sculpture was unveiled on 9 December 2016, and its author is Richárd Juha.
The sculpture was funded by the Council of Csepel, a district of Budapest, on the 60th anniversary of the Hungarian uprising of 1956. The monument is meant to express the solidarity and gratitude of the Hungarian nation for the help that the inhabitants of Szczecin gave at that time to the inhabitants of Budapest. The initiator was a Hungarian member of the National Assembly. An identical sculpture stands in Csepel.
