A Baroque palace of the von Ramin family built after 1721, with an arcade and a balcony on the axis of the facade, today abandoned and in poor condition.
The palace in Stolec is a Baroque palace of the von Ramin family in the municipality of Dobra (Szczecińska) in Police County. It was built after 1721 on a rectangular plan measuring 35 x 11.3 m, with three projections on the garden side and a mansard roof. The building is entered in the heritage register, but for years it has stood unused and unprotected from the passage of time.
The facades are divided by rusticated pilasters and two bands of cornices, and the windows are framed with surrounds with keystones. On the axis of the facade, steps with vases lead to the entrance, and above them stands an arcade on four columns that supports a balcony. Higher up is a triangular tympanum with plant ornament and the coats of arms of the von Ramins. The original layout of the interiors and the appearance of the garden facade were blurred by rebuilding at the end of the 18th century and later. On the ground floor there survive the entrance hall, the former ballroom and a glazed veranda with steps down to the garden.
The von Ramins sold the palace in 1859. Neglected at the end of the 19th century, it was thoroughly restored in 1915. It survived the Second World War without damage, and after 1945 it housed a guardhouse of the Border Protection Troops. Renovations in the 1950s, 1970s and 1990s removed fireplaces and stuccoes, and of the former furnishings only remnants of ceiling decoration and the balustrade of one of the staircases survived. In 2003 the building was abandoned, in 2009 it was handed to the University of Szczecin, which returned it to the State Treasury in 2014. In 2016 it was bought by a private owner, and in 2019 he put it up for sale.
Nearby stands the Church of St Maximilian Kolbe, about 300 metres from the palace.
