About Town hall of the former Żelechowa municipality in Szczecin

Neo-Baroque brick town hall of the former Żelechowa municipality from 1913-1914, entered in the heritage register.

The former town hall at Robotnicza 26 stands in Żelechowa in Szczecin, an estate in the Północ district which until 1946 bore the German name Züllchow. The building was erected in 1913-1914 in the Neo-Baroque style of brick. It is entered in the heritage register, where it appears under the name “d. ratusz” (former town hall).

Żelechowa municipality

The name of the building refers to the former municipality of Żelechowa. The Encyclopedia of West Pomerania mentions it as early as its description of the village from 1827, when part of the land passed from Żelechowa municipality to Niebuszewo.

The area

Robotnicza Street, together with Hoża and Łączna, forms a road that links the Oder riverside areas with Warszewo. In the lower part of the estate prewar buildings predominate, including workers' houses from the 1920s and 1930s.
