A vanished knightly castle, of which a mound and the remains of a stone tower are left in the manor park.
The castle in Kościuszki, formerly Hindenburg, is a vanished castle. In the manor park on the eastern edge of the village, a square mound with the remains of a stone tower has survived from it.
The mound is about 3 m high, and its upper plateau measures about 18 by 20 m. In the southern part the remains of a square stone tower can be seen. Its lower chamber has a side of 4.7 m, and the walls are 2.4 m thick. The tower probably arose on the site of an older wooden defensive complex and was the main element of a stone and brick castle.
The village appears in written sources at the end of the 13th century, when it belonged to Friedrich von Hindenburg, mentioned in documents from 1278 to 1301. The castle has not been studied extensively, so it is not known whether he built it or his successors.
