About Manor House in Dębogóra

The surviving ruins of a mid-19th-century manor on the site of a former knightly seat, with a park laid out in 1821, near a historic church.

The manor in Dębogóra is the ruin of a 19th-century Neoclassical building, standing in a village in Widuchowa municipality, in Gryfino County. The complex also includes a park and some of the farm buildings.

Manor and park

The manor, with a floor area of 460 m2, was built in the mid-19th century on the site of an old knightly seat and rebuilt in the second half of the 20th century. It has two storeys, a projection with a porch and a gabled roof. The manor park was laid out in 1821. It consists of cascading ponds and a stand of trees with swamp cypress, ginkgo, sweet chestnut, pedunculate oaks, tulip trees and beeches.

History of the estate

The village was first mentioned in 1347 as a fief of the von Brusenhauer family. From 1835 the estate belonged to the Coste family and remained in its hands until 1945. Right next to it stands the Church of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which is easy to combine with a visit.
