Dobrzany
About Jewish Cemetery in Dobrzany

The remains of a Jewish cemetery with a collapsed wall, an open gate and two matzevot from the early 20th century.

The Jewish cemetery in Dobrzany is on Mickiewicza Street. It was established around 1850 and was destroyed during the Second World War. Today it occupies only part of its former site.

What remains

According to the Wikipedia entry, the cemetery is being gradually built over, so its area today is clearly smaller than before 1939. A collapsed wall with an open gate has survived, as well as two matzevot (Jewish gravestones) with Hebrew inscriptions from the early 20th century.
