Manor complex on the site of the Borck castle: a Baroque palace rebuilt in the 18th and 19th centuries, pavilions and a park.
The manor complex in Strzmiele, a village in Radowo Małe municipality, stands on the site of the castle of the Borck (Borcke) family, built at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries on a low rise in the Rega River valley. The castle was protected by floodwater and marshy meadows, and the moated area measured about 80 by 90 m. The oldest description of the castle dates from 1551. According to Wikipedia, Sydonia von Borck (1548-1620), a Pomeranian noblewoman beheaded and burned as a witch, was born there.
In the 17th century a Baroque palace was built on the castle site. It was rebuilt in the first quarter of the 18th century, in 1782-1783 under the new owner Johann Georg Loeper, and in the mid-19th century. The complex includes two pavilions, known as bachelors' lodges or guardhouses, and a park from the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. The heritage register dates the manor to the 16th century.
The village also has a branch church of 1722, with a bell of 1592.
