About Museum of Military History in Borne Sulinowo

Military museum in Borne Sulinowo with a collection of vehicles and souvenirs from the history of the garrison.

The Museum of Military History in Borne Sulinowo is located at Towarowa 16. The collections concern the military, and some of the exhibits are vehicles: photographs from the museum show, among others, KrAZ-255 and KrAZ-260 lorries, an American GMC CCKW, a Swedish Bandvagn 202, a British FV439 and a Soviet 2K11 Krug missile system. Among the exhibits is also a boulder from beneath Adolf Hitler's oak.

A garrison town

The military character of the museum matches the history of the town. In the 1930s a military garrison was built on the site of the village of Linde, from 1945 it was used by the Red Army, and Soviet troops left Borne Sulinowo in 1992. In the area lies the Soviet cemetery, and not far away, about 1.2 km, there is a museum room.
